What to Expect on a Women-Only MTB Holiday in the French Alps

Dreaming of riding world-class trails, surrounded by stunning alpine scenery, with a supportive group of like-minded women? A women-only MTB holiday in the French Alps might be just what you need. Whether you’re travelling solo or with friends, here's everything you can expect from a SheRides mountain bike retreat in Les Gets or Morzine.

1. World-Class Trails at Your Tyre Tips

The Portes du Soleil area — home to both Les Gets and Morzine — is one of Europe’s top mountain biking destinations. From flowy blues to technical descents, there’s something for everyone. On a SheRides retreat, you’ll have the opportunity to ride a variety of trails each day, whether you want to keep it comfortable or opt for something more challenging the choice is yours. You’ll never be pushed to do anything you don’t want to, but if you want to challenge yourself we’ll support you.

2. Supportive, Women-Only Vibes

Our MTB holidays are designed by women, for women. That means a non-intimidating, encouraging atmosphere — whether you’re hitting drops for the first time or just here for the alpine views and post-ride Aperol. Many of our guests come solo and we’ll bet they leave with new riding mates for life.

3. A Mix of Coaching and Free-Riding

No pressure, no egos. Our daily social rides are super relaxed and take us wherever the group feels like going that day — from mellow flow trails to something a bit more spicy. When coaching is included, our qualified coaches tailor each session to the group’s level and goals, so whether you're building confidence, trying something new, or chasing a personal challenge, there’s always space for it all.

4. Chalet Comforts and Shared Meals

You’ll stay in a cosy chalet with mountain views, hearty breakfasts, and family-style dinners (on 4 of the 5 nights). We start our mornings with optional yoga to help you stretch out and set the tone for the day ahead. After riding, you can soak in the chalet’s hot tub, swap stories from the trails, and wind down in comfort. We cater for different dietary needs where possible, and our hosts are always on hand with local tips. Expect good food, great chats, and plenty of space to reset before doing it all again.

5. Time to Unplug and Recharge

With no pressure to perform, you’ll have the space to enjoy the ride, breathe mountain air, and reconnect with yourself. There’s always the option to skip a ride, chill in the chalet, or take a lift up and just take a cruisey roll down. This is your holiday — we’re just here to make it unforgettable.
