Getting to Les Gets
You are responsible for making your own travel arrangements, but hopefully this will make things a bit easier.
-
The closest airport to Les Gets is Geneva Airport (GVA), approximately 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes away by road, depending on traffic.
A few things to keep in mind when booking your flights:
Check your airline's sports luggage policy and any additional fees before booking.
If you’re travelling with a bike you’ll need it packed in a bike bag or box.
Need a bike bag?
Check out our partner, Adventure Kit Hire*, where SheRides guests receive 10% off using the code SHERIDES10.
*We may receive a small commission if you book through our link or use our discount code, at no extra cost to you.
-
If you're flying into Geneva, you'll need to arrange your own onward transfer to Les Gets.
We work with a couple of transfer providers who can help make getting to resort nice and easy.
Transfer Options
Shared transfer - a single seat in a van that will leave a set time after a flight arrives. There are often multiple share transfers throughout the day.
Private transfer - you and/or your group books the whole vehicle, not just a seat(s) on it. As it’s booked exclusively for you it will leave according to your schedule.
Our Partner
You can arrange a transfer with our partner, Skiidy Gonzales.
If you're travelling alone, email info@skiidygonzales.com with your dates and flight details.
If you're travelling as a group of two or more, you can book directly through their online booking system.
Use the code SHERIDES27 for your SheRides discount.
Alternatively, you're welcome to organise your own transfers with one of the local operators.
-
If you're making your own way to Les Gets, there's free onsite parking available at The Alpine Lodge.
A couple of things to remember:
Allow extra time for mountain roads, particularly during busy periods.
Let us know in advance if you're planning to drive so we can account for parking arrangements.

Lift Passes & Bikes
-
You'll need a lift pass to access the Les Gets and wider Portes du Soleil bike parks.
Les Gets is a lift-accessed bike park, so you'll need a lift pass to use the chairlifts and gondolas to get up the mountain and access the trails.
We recommend purchasing a full Portes du Soleil lift pass for this trip, giving you access to the wider area and its extensive network of trails.
Prices
As a guideline, a full Portes du Soleil adult lift pass (ages 26–64) costs approximately:
€34 per day
€137 for 4 days
These are 2026 prices for guidance only. Prices vary depending on age category, duration and any available offers. We cannot guarantee lift pass prices, so always check the latest prices online before purchasing.
Where to Buy
You have three options for purchasing your lift pass:
Through the chalet: You can contact our chalet provider directly at hello@chalets-lesgets.com to arrange your lift passes. They'll organise them for you and deliver them directly to the chalet, ready for your arrival.
Online: You can check lift pass prices, pass options and book directly through the Portes du Soleil website. If you buy them here you can pick them up resort.
In resort: You can also but lift passes in resort at the ticket office - it’s generally cheaper online, but the office staff are super friendly and speak great English.
-
Make sure your bike is suitable for Alpine bike park riding and is in good working order before you travel.
We have a large, secure garage at the chalet where you can safely store your bike during your stay.
Never travelled with your bike before? Don't worry, it's easier than you might think! Most guests fly with their bike packed in a bike bag or box. We've partnered with Adventure Kit Hire, where you can rent a high-quality bike bag for your trip. SheRides guests receive a discount, and your booking confirmation email will include the discount code.
This is an affiliate link, which means we may receive a small benefit at no extra cost to you.
Packing Tips
If you’re taking your bike apart then here are some handy tips we’ve learnt:
Handlebars: Before removing your handlebars for packing, mark the position of your bars against the stem (a line across both is ideal). This will make it much easier to get everything lined up correctly when you reassemble your bike.
Suspension: If you release any air from your suspension before packing, make a note of your usual air pressures beforehand so you can easily reset them when you rebuild your bike at the other end.
Extra Padding: Bikes can get knocked and rattled around during transit, so it's worth adding some extra protection. Pool noodles, foam pipe insulation and similar padding are great for protecting your frame, forks and other vulnerable areas from knocks and scratches.
-
We’re currently working on securing a partnership with a local shop in Les Gets to get some discounts for our guests! We’ll keep you posted when this is confirmed.
In the meantime if you’re looking to explore prices and compare bike options then here’s a couple of hire shops that our guests have used in the past:
360 Outdoor
Nevada Sports
Ski Republic Yolo Store
We recommend arranging your bike hire in advance to make sure you get the bike and size you need.
Food
No food is provided on this self-catered retreat. You have full access to the kitchen so feel free to cook your own meals or walk into the village to enjoy the delicious food Les Gets has to offer.
-
The closest supermarket is Carrefour, just a 5-minute walk from the chalet. It's a great place to stock up on groceries, snacks, drinks, toiletries, haircare and all those little essentials you'll need during your stay.
-
You're spoilt for choice when it comes to bakeries in Les Gets! The closest to the chalet is Pain La Montagne. We'd highly recommend popping in for some fresh pastries and a baguette for breakfast – the perfect way to start a day in the mountains!
Unfortunately, they don't offer gluten-free options, but Carrefour has a pretty comprehensive gluten-free section if you need alternatives.
-
You're really spoilt for choice when it comes to eating and drinking in Les Gets. There are loads of lovely spots to explore, but here are a few of our favourites to get you started:
Les Copeaux – Our pick for the best fondue in town. Perfect for a traditional Savoyard evening!
La Fille du Tonnelier – A lovely wine bar with a great dinner menu. Their cheese boards will genuinely change your life!
Baboushka – A cocktail bar serving a great selection of sharing plates, with flavours inspired by French, Mediterranean, Italian and Asian cuisine.
Le Boomerang – Brilliant cocktails, a really varied menu and some good gluten-free & vegan options too.

A few Things Worth KNowing
Weather & Clothing
Mountain weather can be unpredictable, even in summer. You can experience warm, sunny days on the trails, but temperatures can drop quickly, particularly at higher altitudes. It's worth bringing layers and being prepared for the occasional rainy day.
Money
France uses the Euro (€). Most shops, restaurants and cafés accept card payments, but it's always handy to have a little cash with you.
Mobile Phones & Wi-Fi
There is Wi-Fi available at the chalet. Check your mobile provider's roaming arrangements before travelling so you don't get caught out by unexpected charges.
Time to Explore
Although mountain biking is the main event, there's plenty more to enjoy in and around Les Gets. Whether you fancy a wander around the village, a coffee on a sunny terrace or simply some downtime at the chalet, make the most of your time in the mountains!
