Social Rides Code of Conduct
To ensure all riders enjoy a safe, supportive and positive experience, all participants agree to follow this Code of Conduct.
Respect & Inclusivity
Treat all riders, ambassadors and members of the public with respect.
Maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment.
Discriminatory, aggressive or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
Safety & Responsibility
Ride within your own limits and communicate if you are struggling.
Your bike must be in safe working order.
Helmets are mandatory for all SheRides rides.
Follow the ambassador’s guidance, group ride etiquette, and highway/countryside codes.
Group Riding Etiquette
Maintain predictable riding behaviour and communicate hazards.
Keep the group together using the no-drop policy.
Signal turns, hazards and changes of pace.
Ride single file where required.
Conduct on Routes & Trails
Respect other users (walkers, riders, traffic, livestock).
Slow down in shared spaces and give priority where appropriate.
Leave no trace - respect local landowners and the environment.
Behaviour Standards
Bullying, harassment, or intimidation of any kind is strictly prohibited.
Substance use that affects your ability to ride safely is not permitted.
Riders must listen to ambassador instructions in emergency situations.
Breach of Code
Failure to follow the Code may result in:
Being asked to leave the ride, and/or
Removal from SheRides groups and communities if behaviour poses risk.
