Is a Women’s MTB Retreat Right for You? Here’s How to Know

Thinking about joining a mountain bike retreat but not sure if it’s your thing? Whether you’re new to MTB holidays or just feeling a little unsure, this guide will help you figure out if a SheRides women’s MTB retreat is the right fit for you.

Spoiler: if you love bikes, fresh air, and good company - you’re probably already halfway there.

1. You Ride - But Want to Build Confidence

Maybe you’ve been riding for a while, but you’re still not sure how to tackle berms, rock gardens, or those steeper descents. On our retreats, you’ll have the chance to ride with a qualified coach who can help you level up - all in a zero-pressure environment.

2. You’re Tired of Riding Alone

If you don’t have a regular crew to ride with (or you're the only woman in the group), it can feel isolating. Our retreats bring together women of all ages, from all backgrounds to ride and support each other, and of course share the stoke. Many of our guests come solo - and we’ll bet they leave with a whole new group of riding mates.

3. You Want a Holiday With a Bit of Purpose

Sure, you could book a beach break - but if you’re looking for a trip that actually makes you feel stronger, more confident, and more connected, this is it. You’ll spend your days moving your body, laughing on the lifts, and doing something that’s just for you.

4. You Like the Idea of Structure (But Not a Bootcamp)

We keep things chill. There’s a loose schedule each day; breakfast, optional yoga, a group ride with one coaching session woven in during the week, then time to relax, soak in the hot tub or explore town. No drills, no clocks. Just a rhythm that leaves space for both adventure and rest. You’re always welcome to do your own thing — we’re just here if you need us.

5. You’re Curious, But Nervous

This is so common, especially if you haven’t travelled solo or joined a group trip before. We get it, and we’ve been there too. The SheRides community is built on support, not ego. You’ll be welcomed as you are, no need to “prove” yourself on the bike or off.

So, Is It for You?

If any of that sounds like you, there’s a good chance you’d love one of our retreats. You don’t need to be the fastest, the fittest, or the bravest — you just need to be open to the ride.
