What to Expect
We’re stoked to be part of Trail Blooms Ladies Day at Cannock Chase! Phoebe will be hosting two rides this day.
This ride is suitable for red level riders. If you’re after something a little easier, check out our first ride at 11:00.
We'll be riding various off piste trails near to the Follow the Dog trail, including the downhill section used for the Commonwealth and National XC races.
These are red graded off-piste trails with drops, table jumps, kickers and technical rooty descents. There are a few gap jumps but these can be avoided. We'll stop at one of the tabletop jumps for a session.
Suitable for anyone that can ride Follow the Dog or similar red-graded trails.
Relaxed pace, no pressure, the aim is to have fun and ride bikes!
In addition to signing up for this ride make sure you secure your space at the event (it’s free) via the Trail Bloom website.

Where to Meet Us
The best place to park is the Birches Valley Forest Centre Car Park. Phoebe will be ready and waiting in the Event Village ready to ride for 13:30 (we’re not going to hang around too long, so try to be on time so you don’t miss the ride).
You can contact our ambassadors by tagging them in a post/ comment on our facebook group (link at the top of this page). If you are running late, please let them know.
Facilities
There are great facilities at this meet this spot:

What Should you Bring?
Equipment:
It’s super important to note that we will not ride with anyone who is not wearing a helmet!
Other than that, the protective gear that you bring is up to you- we normally ride with knee / elbow pads and maybe gloves, depending on the conditions. You’ll also need a bike that is trail suitable, safe and in working order so we can avoid repairs at the start of the day.
It is possible to hire a bike from the Cannock Chase Cycle Centre, but we strongly recommend that you do it well in advance if that’s your plan.
Food:
Please make sure you have plenty of water and snacks, as we will be away from the vehicles until the end of the ride.
Phoebe will be grabbing a coffee after the ride. Everyone is welcome to stick around for lunch/coffee either from the cafe or bring a packed lunch.
What Will it Cost?
Both the ride and the event are free! In addition to signing up for this ride make sure you secure your space at the event (it’s free) via the Trail Bloom website.
You might need some money for parking if you choose to park in the car park. Or you can park on the road for free.
Important Info
Photos:
Our ambassadors may take photos or videos during the ride to use on social media or in promotions. It’s a great way to show others what our rides are really like and help those who might be nervous feel more confident about joining next time.
If you'd prefer not to be included in any photos or videos, just let your ambassador know at the start of the ride — no problem at all!
