What to Expect

We will be riding the red trail this time at Sherwood Pines, so this ride is suitable for ladies wanting to push their skills but in a steady way. Mostly single track apart from crossing over the fire roads. A nice flowy route with some good berms, rollers, couple of features - which you can also ride around. The route is approx 13km ride so be prepared for the distance!

We will meet in the spot below, get acquainted and head out. We won’t be rushing to get done, we won’t be pushing to tick off features- the aim is to have fun and ride bikes! And it’s really easy for riders to return to their cars anytime so if you need to duck out, no problem.

No pressure, just good times!

After the ride we’ll have a bit of a lunch social. We can grab some food from the on site cafe or feel free to bring your own pack up.

Here is the link to the Sherwood Pines website if you want to check it out.

Where to Meet Us

Lauren will be ready and waiting just outside the Sherwood Pines Cycles ready to ride for 10 am Please arrive with plenty of time to get ready as we’re not going to hang around too long.

You can contact our ambassadors via the event page on our facebook group (link at the top of this page). If you are running late, please let them know.

What Should you Bring?

Equipment:

It’s super important to note that we will not ride with anyone who is not wearing a helmet!

Other than that, the protective gear that you bring is up to you- we normally ride with knee / elbow pads and maybe gloves, depending on the conditions. You’ll also need a bike that is trail suitable, safe and in working order so we can avoid repairs at the start of the day.

It is possible to hire a bike from the onsite bike shop, Sherwood Pines Cycles, but we strongly recommend that you do it well in advance if that’s your plan.

Food:

There’s an onsite cafe which offers an array of lunch options, hot and cold drinks, cakes etc where you can refuel. It’s always a good idea to bring snacks and plenty of water for the ride.

Facilities:

There are great facilities at this trail centre:

  • Parking (paid)

  • Toilets

  • Cafe

  • Bike Shop

What Will it Cost?

The ride itself is totally free, we won’t be charging you anything for our company.

The Sherwood Pines carpark is a paid carpark, and the prices can be found on the link to the forest website above.

It’s totally up to you how long you stay for but getting the full day means we don’t have time restraints and the money goes to maintaining the trails- it’s a win, win.

Other than that, having some money spare for a bit of lunch and a coffee is a great idea, although you don’t have to buy anything if you don’t want to- feel free to bring your own pack lunch and snacks, as well as plenty of water.

Important Info:

Photos:

Our ambassadors may take photos or videos during the ride to use on social media or in promotions. It’s a great way to show others what our rides are really like and help those who might be nervous feel more confident about joining next time.

If you'd prefer not to be included in any photos or videos, just let your ambassador know at the start of the ride — no problem at all!
