Your Morzine Holiday

Spend 5 nights in an MTB paradise, staying in a centrally located chalet with delicious home-cooked meals prepared by a professional chef. Enjoy guided yoga sessions, improve your MTB skills with a local coach and meet like-minded women who you can explore the trails with.

The Chalet

Les Trois Bonheurs is a beautifully appointed chalet combining modern design and cosy alpine chalet vibes. The living room is large and open plan with huge windows that face the sunny garden. There is a gorgeous wood burner (hopefully we won’t need it!) and plenty of comfortable seating for evening relaxation. In the garden you’ll find a spacious deck with outdoor seating and the hot tub.

The chalet is equipped with a secure room for bike storage and equipment, has laundry facilities and sleeps 8 guests (10 when you include your hosts).

Les Trois Bonheurs is located on Route de la Plagne, a 5 minute cycle to the Super Morzine gondola and a 10 minute cycle to the Pleney gondola. It’s an easy 10 minute flat walk into the town centre. There is a supermarket just a two minute walk away and one of the best bars in Morzine, Le Local, is just across the road.

  • You will be catered for during your stay by your very own chalet chef. You’ll have breakfast available every morning and a freshly prepared evening meal 4 out of the 5 nights (see ‘chalet chef & host day off’ below for more information).

    What’s Included:

    • Continental Breakfasst

    Available every morning

A continental breakfast will be laid out every day in a self-serve style. There will be fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, bread, tea and coffee and a selection of pastries from some of our favourite local bakeries. On host’s day off we’ll make sure you know where everything is the night before.

    • Family-Style 2 Course Dinner

Available 4 out of the 5 days

We will be making you a hearty, 2-course family-style dinner in the evening, designed to tick all the nutritional boxes after a day shredding the bike park; cooked by a professional chef, and available for you to enjoy in a relaxed and chill setting.

Family-style essentially means there will be enough food for everyone to help themselves and eat on their own schedule, outside in the evening sun, at the dining table or even relax on the sofas in front of a movie. We don’t want to create a formal eating environment, we just want everyone to feel comfortable and relaxed, enjoying the company of the women around them in our cosy chalet.

Meals will usually consist of a main, aside and a decadent dessert; for example a 10 hour slow cooked bolognaise served over linguine, with garlic bread and parmesan, followed by a banging brownie and some ice cream.

Simple, delicious and nutritious food served with good vibes and made with quality ingredients.

Don’t want to eat in the chalet?

If you’d rather head out into to town for a meal on any of the nights during your stay, you absolutely can do so; just be sure to tell your hosts beforehand. (This won’t affect the price of the holiday)

    • Drinks

We’ll have a stocked beer fridge that you can help yourself to whenever you like. We’ll also have some soft drinks available and of course fresh mountain water straight from the tap! If you want to bring your own drinks and pop them in the fridge then this is more than ok.

    • Snacks

We’ll have sweet and savoury snacks available throughout the day in the chalet, for you to help yourself.

    Dietary Requirements

We’ll do our very best to cater for any dietary requirements or preferences you let us know about in advance. While we aim to offer suitable alternatives where possible, we cannot guarantee that all requests can be accommodated.

Chalet Chef & Host Day Off

Your chef and host have Saturday off which means you’ll receive dinner 4 days out of 5. We can help you book somewhere for dinner when you arrive. A continental breakfast will still be available in the chalet on chef & host day off.

  • Your hosts, Heather (SheRide’s founder) and her partner Tom* (your chef for the week), will be in the chalet to cook and be there to help during your stay. They are there in a more friendly and relaxed capacity than a formal hosting capacity. There won’t be any room service, towel changes or mid week cleans. The whole aim of this trip is to bring women together to ride in one of the world’s best MTB locations, so casual and relaxed vibes will be abundant.

*Tom will act as our chef, and only be present for the meal times and upon request- all other activities will be women only. Heather will always be available to ride with you, even on day off :)

Chalet Chef & Host Day Off

Your chef and host have Monday off which means you’ll receive dinner 4 days out of 5. We can help you book somewhere for dinner when you arrive. A continental breakfast will still be available in chalet on chef & host day off.

  • There are 4 en suite bedrooms spread across 3 floors. Each of the rooms in the chalet will be made up as twin rooms. Your booking will be for one bed in a shared twin room unless otherwise specified; the person you are sharing with will be another member of the SheRides collective, unless of course you choose to book a private room. Private rooms can be made as doubles upon request.

Heather with join you on the first day and we’ll hit the trails together as group- of course only if you want to, if you’d prefer to do your own thing then that’s totally fine. Our social rides have a super loose structure; we won’t be rushing to get done, we won’t be pushing to tick off features, or forcing anyone to ride anything they aren’t comfortable with. No pressure, just good times.

Heather will also be available to ride with you every day of your trip, all you have to do is ask.

Please note: our social rides are not guided or coached. We’re simply hitting the trails together as a group.

*We aim to have a female coach for this trip, but please note this may be subject to change depending on circumstances, in which case a male coach could lead the sessions.

    Yoga

When: Daily (except chalet host day off)

AM yoga sessions will take place before breakfast outside on the terrace (or inside if the weather isn’t on our side). If you fancy getting some movement in before breakfast then come and join in, but there’s no pressure to do so.

    MTB Movie Night

When: We recommend doing this on the last night (everyone is pretty exhausted by then!) but it’s up to the group

One evening we’ll have a chilled one as a group and stick on a MTB movie in the chalet. If this isn’t your vibe, you don’t have to join in.

Morzine MTB

  • Morzine has become one of the most iconic MTB destinations out there; not only is it home to the world’s largest lift accessed trail network, it’s also home to one of the most incredible MTB communities anywhere on earth- quite literally everyone here is just stoked on bikes.

    The Bike Park

The Portes du Soleil is the largest connected bike park in the world, with 600km of multi-use trails, 22 MTB accessible chairlifts and 6 dedicated bike parks, it is truly an MTB paradise.

You can practise all disciplines of cycling here, even enjoying some of the toughest road stages on the Tour de France; but it’s the mountain biking that truly makes this area special.

There are trails ranging from gorgeous, scenic greens that can teach you all you need to know about the mountain, to the steepest most technical descents in the world, with a few jumps, drops and single track masterpieces in between.

There are 2 main lifts that service the Morzine trails:

    • Le Pleney Gondola

Part of the reason Morzine is so famous amongst mountain bikers all over the world is thanks to the Pleney Steeps.

Pleney is one of two gondolas that leaves Morzine town centre, and it connects riders not only to the fantastic Les Gets Bike Park, but also opens up the famous Pleney Forest.

This forest is full of incredibly steep, loamy and technical downhill trails that are beloved by locals, visitors and professional riders in equal measure; now this may sound intimidating, but it’s often overlooked that Pleney is also home to several kilometres of superb blue and red trails that are amongst the very best in the bike park, as well as the famous black ‘Mainline’ DH track that is a great challenge to work towards riding.

    • Super Morzine & Zore

On the other side of the steep valley in which Morzine is nestled, is the incredible Super Morzine that connects with Avoriaz and further over into Chatel and Switzerland (although this connection to Switzerland and Chatel will not be open during our trips!).

Super Morzine services the Zore Chairlift which is essentially the gateway to some of the world’s very best flow trails. Tutti Frutti is the most famous of the trails up there, with hundreds of perfectly sculpted berms and perfectly built table top jumps.

There is also a new set of trails that are serviced by the Seraussaix chairlift, with ‘Stand High Patrol’ (blue) and ‘Chill Con Carne’ (red) being true masterpieces in flow trail construction; this is the perfect place to progress.

Connecting all these together are superb green trails that are the absolute perfect place to warm up and get your eye in.

    The Town

There are countless restaurants, coffee shops, bike shops, souvenir shops and bakeries in the pedestrianised town centre of Morzine and it’s surrounded by dramatic Alpine peaks and thick, lush forests.

Enjoy incredible food ranging from Japanese sushi to traditional Savoie dishes.

    Activities

MTB might be the initial draw for most but there is so much more to experience in Morzine. You can enjoy horseback adventures along the river, find bliss paddle boarding on the stunning Lac du Montriond, hike along mountainous ridges, climb challenging rock faces, and even fly amongst the mountain peaks on a parapent adventure. Many come for the mountain biking and fall in love with Morzine’s stunning Alpine charm.

  • Lift Passes

*NOT INCLUDED- you will need to buy your own lift pass to access the bike park*

Morzine is a lift-accessed bike park so you’ll need a lift pass to ride the chairs and gondolas, allowing you to get up the mountain and access the trails.

    • One pass for 5 bike parks

The Portes du Soleil is so large that you may think you need multiple passes; thankfully, it’s a unified bike park, so one pass will grant you access to the whole area.

That’s 5 bike parks in one pass:

    1. Les Gets

    2. Morzine

    3. Avoriaz

    4. Chatel

    5. Dents du Midi Region (Switzerland).

You’ll be staying in the French side, which is all connected, but it’s good to know if you fancy organising yourself a day trip to Chatel or Morgins!

    • Price

A lift pass for an adult, 26-64 years, is €34 per day or €137 for 4 days (as per the online prices at the time of writing). There are different price options for different age categories and some special offers, so always check online in advance. These are guideline prices only, real prices may vary.

Check out this link for more information:

    https://www.ski-morzine.com/en/summer/

    Bikes

*NOT INCLUDED- you’ll need to bring your own bike or hire locally*

    • What Type of Bike Will I Need?

Since Morzine is a lift-accessed bike park you don’t need to do an ounce of uphill pedalling if you don’t want to (apart from maybe a bit of undulation on the trails). Downhill bikes are most suited to the more technical trails, but there is so much variety it would probably be hard to bring the wrong bike.

Enduro bikes and trail bikes will be absolute fine on all the trails here, and an XC bike would be okay on the easier trails and single track routes, but we would not recommend XC bikes for the bike park flow and tech trails.

Heather has a trail bike that she brings just to give you an indication, or if you’re unsure whether yours is up to it, take a look at your hire options:

    • Bike Hire

Don’t want to bring your bike? Hiring a bike in Morzine can range from anywhere between €60 and €150 per day with a huge variety of bikes and specs on offer. There are also deals and offers that run throughout the summer, so it’s worth noting that this is a guideline price.

  • The fastest way to travel to Morzine is to fly, but it’s not the only way:

    Arriving by Plane

Geneva Airport (GVA) is only an hours’ drive away from Morzine, and there are multiple flights throughout the day to and from airports all over the UK.

    • Getting From the Airport to Resort:

The best and quickest way to get to Morzine from Geneva is to drive. There are multiple transfer companies that operate all summer long. To find these companies just google ‘Morzine transfers’ and you’ll be able to find endless options.

You could hire a car and self drive your way to resort - we’ve plenty of parking at the chalet! You can hire a car from the airport or in Geneva (there’s a train from the airport to the city centre).

You can also catch the train from Geneva airport to Thonon-les-Bains and then catch the bus from Thonon to Morzine- but please check the schedules and times of both before you choose this as an option; France does not have the best public transport reliability scores!

There are more budget friendly options like buses and ride-sharing, but these are not always the most reliable options.

    UK to France by Car

Driving from the UK is a great way to travel and can be turned into an adventure in its own right. We would recommend breaking the journey up with an overnight stay somewhere around the Dijon or Reims area, but for the hardcore drivers out there, it absolutely can be done in one hit - just try and time it so you arrive in time for dinner!

There is free parking directly outside the chalet.

    UK to France By Train

From the UK, you can take the Eurostar to France. From your French stop (usually Paris or Lille Europe) you can get the train all the way to Thonon-les-Bains (not direct), which is about 45 minutes outside of Morzine. This is a great option for those looking to travel in an eco-friendly way and can be combined with stays in new places for a fun adventure. From Thonon there is a bus to Morzine- but please check the schedules and times of both before you choose this as an option.

FAQs

  • No, this trip is for everyone.

Whether you’re a group of friends who want to ride together, or you’re on your own and want to meet some like minded people to ride with, then this trip is for you.

If you are solo then don’t be intimidated, remember we have our ‘never ride alone guarantee’; Heather will always be on hand to ride with you, or, if you’re up for it, then group rides will be happening every day.

  • No; to come on this trip you must be 18 years old+.

  • We are testing the waters with this trip and we are all about honesty; we don’t know how popular this trip will be (but from what we’ve heard from the women of the collective, we’re pretty confident it will be a hit!).

So, in order to protect SheRides, and its riders, if we can’t fill the chalets to the minimum reuiqred number of riders (6 people), then the trip will not be able to run.

In this case, you will be asked if you can move to the other trip date (if available) and if not, you’ll receive a full refund with no questions asked.

You will be notified no later than 1st August 2025 if the minimum number hasn’t been reached.

Please refer to the terms and conditions for more information.

  • We are taking riders of every level for this trip, from day one beginners to the Rachel Athertons and Vali Holls of the world (although I don’t think these two will be booking with us, but who knows!).

If you’re a beginner, whether it’s day one for you on a new adventure, or you’ve been riding for a bit and are still working up to blue runs, then we would recommend getting yourself some lessons and hiring a coach for your stay. Mountain biking is a dangerous sport and there are things you need to know when riding in a bike park.

Of course, Heather will always be available for a shred, but as a beginner you’ll make the most progress, and the get the most out of your holiday, with a coach by your side.

If you are wanting to ride as part of the group then this is always an option, but the general level of riders we get are comfortable on blue and red trails, so for those looking to progress, we recommend a coach.

  • The Portes du Soleil bike park opens on the 13th of June 2025 and closes on the 14th of September 2025. The key lifts, Pleney and Super Morzine/ Zore will be open from 9am to 5pm every day of our trip.

  • Morzine is busy with awesome events all summer long, so in our opinion the best time to visit is while the lifts are open!

Our dates, at the beginning of September, are selected to avoid the busy season whilst still making the most of the warm weather.

The trails will be quieter, but the end of season vibe will be high, with many venues hosting closing parties.

  • Officially there are over 60 MTB trails in the area, but if you ask any of the locals, there are hundreds.

  • Super Morzine is approximately a 5 minute ride at a slow pace on a flat road. Pleney is a sub 10 minute ride mainly on a flat road, but there is a short hill as you approach the lift. .

  • Lunch is not included in the chalet catering; but, because it’s France, there is no shortage of places to grab a totally delicious lunch.

From sandwiches, pizzas, piadinas and burgers, to fondues and sushi, Morzine has heaps to choose from. Whether you want to come back down to town or head to a trail-side, on-mountain restaurant, Morzine has so much choice to cater to all budgets.

  • If you get injured in the bike park, you won’t get a refund for a lift pass that has been used. This is why we recommend insurance that covers gravity led MTB; please ensure you’re fully covered for the sports you’ll be partaking in.

You’ll also need to use your insurance to help with the costs of getting home in the case of an injury, or if you need to visit the medical centre in town- it’s not free!

All of our riders must be fully insured.
